A good friend

is hard to find, hard to lose and impossible to forget.

i had such a great weekend. every year, for about 6 or 7 years now, my college girlfriends and i have tried to meet at least once during the summer or fall. this weekend was the chosen time for this year's event. more girls showed up than normal and still there were a few missing, but overall it was a great time as it always is. i love all my girls, with all my heart. we all feel like God brought us together nearly 14 years ago (WOW) at southwestern assemblies of God university. and since 1998 (which is when the last ones of us graduated, some in 1999) we have kept in touch and made most of our friendships stronger. we still have so much to talk about. not just reliving memories and laughing at how we used to be, but we still have so much in common as our families have developed and grown. all of us are married and most have children. we've grown as individuals and although we may not see eye to eye, we respect each other and cherish each other on a lot of different levels. some things have changed and some things haven't (and i mean that in a good way) but no matter what, i know with all my heart, i have shoulders to cry on, ears to listen, words of wisdom and laughter to share.....ALWAYS!

so to all my girls, past and present, i'm so blessed to have you as my friend. thank you for being you and for letting me be me and loving me in spite of, well, me! You are my heart!
